Simulation of a process can save time and money and can be used to design laboratory test, to optimise materials products and to undersatnd the performance of a process or material.
It can be used to simulate the effect of mechanical loads, heat accumulation, diffusion of gases and liquids, flow behaviour during injection among others.
Polymira is using Comsol Multiphysics and Matlab for simulation issues. Multiphysics is a powerful option that offer the possibility to study interactions between various properties, i.e. heat transfer and structural mechanics. A reaction may result in heating which will reduce the stiffness. Furthermore, combinations of various parameters can conveniently be studied in one simulation usign the Parametric sweel function. Polymera has worked with Comsol Multiphysics during 10 years and collaborates with specialist on Comsol Multiphysics.
