The design of a new product should consider various parameters with a potential risk to affect the performance of a product including material type, design, processing, environmental use, mechanical loads, neighbouring materials, compatibility etc. Life time analysis refers to the process of identifying the weak points of a product with reference to these parameters.
The output of LLA is a list of all week components and sub-systems with reference to the function of the product. The results can be used to avoid poor materials and design solutions and t improve the performance of the product.
The results are used to desgin a program for accelerated ageing and estimate the minimum service life or the real service life.
